The famous Fraser River in British Columbia was the site of one of the greatest gold rushes in history. From the moment in 1857 when prospectors first discovered gold along its bars. The rush was one and thousands of prospectors began combing the Fraser's entire length in search of the yellow metal. Many claims where staked and many fortunes found. Even after the gold rush was over. Gold was still being found along banks of the great river.Even today the Modern Prospector is still pulling gold out of the Fraser's rich bars and its bedrock. The Goldbeach1 Placer claim is located on the Fraser around the old Alexandra Bridge. The claim is is only two hour drive from Vancouver. Just park at the Alexandra bridge park and walk down across the old bridge and down to the river and you are on the claim. Now its time to start looking for gold. The ground on this side of the river has produced some good gold for the modern prospector. Especially those panning the moss on some of some of the big boulders you find in the area. Below is a picture of some of the gold that was found in the area.
